I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself an Nvidia 3060 graphics card—along with a new motherboard to run it on. But due to unforeseen circumstances, I haven’t had time to install the parts yet. It’s a shame because I’ve been itching to play Marvel Rivals, Red Dead Redemption 2, and a few other games on my list…

Still, even without the new hardware, I wanted to game. That’s when I knew it was time to dig out the old and faithful Hotline Miami series. I never actually finished Hotline Miami 2—I got stuck on one specific mission. If you’ve played the game, you probably know the one.

That, of course, led me down a YouTube rabbit hole of video essays analyzing Hotline Miami and its sequel. I already knew the series was amazing, but hearing different perspectives on it? Yeah, it just reinforced how incredible these games really are. There’s a reason I’ve gifted them to friends for Christmas.

Anyway, I figured I’d make a comic about it. Still feeling inspired by Rick Rubin, I’ve been looking back at my older strips and just trying to get some comics done, you know?
