So last year CliffyB, the guy behind Gears of War and Jazz Jackrabbit made this whole big thing that he was retiering from videogames and what not. He had been working with videogames for soooo long and he had only taken a sabatical since he started working with games and so on and so on. Oh yes. Poor Cliffy. Anyway, now he is back! How long was he away from the video game industry you may ask?

About a year.

He took another sabatical year. But it’s okay, during that time he still managed to find time to be a douche towards other video game developers over Twitter. Oh the joy.

I am not sure if Cliffy knows this but most people can’t take a sabatical. They have to work at jobs. You know, to pay rent and stuff. And usually they have to work jobs they don’t even like to be abel to pay for that rent, or to buy the next Gears Of War.

Anyway, what I am trying to say with my rant is that you don’t “retire” from a job for a year. That’s a sabatical. And you shouldn’t make such a huge deal out of it. And don’t be a fucking douche to other game developers… You know what? Don’t be a douche in general.
